Episode 11: The challenges of user comments

This is episode 11, which is dedicated to one way in which audience members can be actively involved in journalism – by commenting on the news. This is something many news organizations are struggling with. Mijke explores the case study of Dutch news website Nu.nl, and the way in which they have reintroduced their comments section. Sh also shows how her Master Media students have worked on a comment section challenge for Dutch news magazine The Green Amsterdammer.
